Vector biologist in Burkina Faso
Roch is a medical entomologist and currently the Regional Director of the IRSS Bobo-Dioulasso. He has worked on numerous vector-borne disease research projects, including evaluations of new vector control tools, monitoring insecticide resistance and characterizing resistance mechanisms, and characterising reproductive ecology of anophelines in mating swarms. He is also currently working on establishing surveillance systems for neglected tropical diseases such as lymphatic filariasis, leishmaniasis, and urban arboviruses such as dengue and zika.
