James Maas

Jim has a background in agricultural animal science, and completed a PhD in mathematical modelling and simulation of protein synthesis. He completed post-doctoral research at the University of California, Davis and the University of Reading, UK. He then held positions at the University of Delaware, USA, the University of Nottingham, and finally the University of East Anglia in the UK where he has focussed primarily on mathematical biology in the areas of animal science, health economics and public health. He particularly enjoys working in mathematical biology using open source software such as Linux and R.
