Evelyn Olanga

Evelyn is a medical entomologist specialising in the ecology and biology of African malaria vectors. Her research interests include determinants of human risk, community-based malaria control initiatives and development of novel tools for malaria vector surveillance and control. She is currently a PIIVeC postdoctoral research fellow based at the Malaria Alert Centre of the College of Medicine, University of Malawi in Blantyre, Malawi. Her current research focuses on characterizing vector behaviour and malaria risk in communities in southern Malawi. She is interested in studying outdoor malaria transmission and human-vector contact patterns in areas of high transmission in the country.
